Director of Sales - Texas

Visualogyx is seeking a sales and strategy expert to join us as our new Sales Director. The Sales Director will execute and lead all sales and revenue initiatives at Visualogyx, ensuring the company’s short and long-term revenue expansion. This will include setting the strategic direction to meet revenue goals while identifying and pursuing new revenue streams and partnership opportunities. The Sales Director will manage the sales and paid marketing teams and have significant influence over the direction of the company.


This position requires an individual with strong problem solving, leveraging of existing relationships, cultivation of new relationships and management of the sales and operations team to meet revenue targets. The candidate would be responsible for managing the post-sale process, including the oversight of all customer support data entry, and training internal teams on operational processes.


  • Establish sales targets and build the strategies to achieve them
  • Develop and implement pricing designed to create value for the company and our partners
  • Identify, build, and close large revenue deals
  • Identify and develop new revenue-driving products and services
  • Work with product, marketing, content and tech teams to develop new products, optimize existing products and provide transparency to revenue performance
  • Analyze current business processes and take initiative to improve efficiencies for other teams
  • Development, coaching and training of Sales Operations team members
  • Identify issues, trends and gather feedback from existing customers to drive best practices and knowledge sharing throughout the organization
  • Brief senior management on the status of current resolution efforts and attend daily/weekly meetings as requested or required.
  • Proactively develop ideas, expectations, and goals while working with and through others to achieve desired result
  • Strategically lead and drive process improvement and work efficiency in the Sales Operations organization
  • Independently solve problems and provide solutions for sales issues through direct involvement and/or through coaching team members
  • Gather customer feedback and work with the management and development team to recommend how to improve product usability
  • Drive or participate in internal organizational initiatives and create best practices for team processes
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external team members to build a best-in-class customer experience with the goal of making every customer a promoter and a customer for life
  • Advise customers on best methods to take full advantage of products and services
  • Track customers’ project status and ensure deliverables are achieved
  • Form strong relationships with customers via face-to-face, email and telephone and work to keep them fully engaged throughout the process
  • Understand and anticipate customer’s need and goals, ensure they are met
  • Drive a high renewal rate including reporting on customer satisfaction and feedback


  • Experience with startup business
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation in business, including logistics, supply chain management, pipe, oil & gas, inspections and working with large surface logistics shippers
  • Advanced familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and MIS development
  • Strong domain experience in SaaS platforms for lead, CRM and call center management
  • Strong network in logistics, financial and insurance products and influencers
  • Advanced familiarity with analytics and data information visualization
  • Proficient with social media, mobile channels and early adoption strategies
  • 10+ years of sales and strategic management experience
  • Must have had P&L responsibility with revenues of $25M+
  • Strong understanding of advertising technology and yield optimization
  • Specific experience managing teams to data backed strategy
